All enquiries regarding places in Groups or Units are managed through a centralised system to help us direct you to the most appropriate group for your location and needs. Some of our Groups are oversubscribed and therefore waiting times for a place to become available may be longer. Whereas for other groups and units there may not be a wait for a place to open up. The benefits of Scouting are well known with a recent study showing that people who have been Scouts as a child have better mental health in later life and parents say Scouting gives their children more confidence, responsibility, a broader set of friends, a chance to pursue things they might not get to do otherwise, adventure and an extended family.
